How to Make
💊 Supplements (Pills)
Powdered herbs pressed into capsules — a convenient, tasteless way to take a consistent dose of a herb you'd rather not brew or steep.
Video guide coming soon — for now, follow the written steps below.
Equipment needed
- Kitchen scale
- Coffee or spice grinder dedicated to herbs (not food)
- Fine mesh sieve
- Empty capsules (size "00" or "0")
- Capsule-filling tray or machine (optional, speeds up filling)
- Airtight storage jars and labels
General method
- Fully dry your herb material — any residual moisture will cause capsules to mold in storage.
- Grind the dried herb into a fine, consistent powder using a dedicated herb grinder.
- Sift the powder through a fine mesh sieve to remove any coarse fibers.
- Separate empty capsules into halves, or load them into a capsule-filling tray.
- Scoop or press the powder into each capsule half, then join the two halves firmly.
- Wipe away any powder residue from the outside of each capsule.
- Store finished capsules in a labeled, airtight jar away from light, heat, and moisture.
