Hemerocallis (Shara Tsetseg) (Hemerocallis minor) is a herb used in the Mongolian Traditional Medicine tradition to help with Anemia, Insomnia, Liver Support, and Edema. The aerial parts and leaves are the parts traditionally used, taken internally.

Botanical background

Hemerocallis minor, is also known as dwarf daylily, grassleaf lily and small daylily. It is native to northern Asia (Siberia, Mongolia, China, Korea). The plant grows up to 0.5 m high. Its wide yellow flowers are scentless. It is a hermaphroditic plant, and is pollinated by insects such as honey bees.

  • Steep 1–2 tsp of dried Hemerocallis (Shara Tsetseg) in freshly boiled water for 5–10 minutes.
  • Cover while steeping.
  • Strain and drink.

  • Pack dried Hemerocallis (Shara Tsetseg) into a jar and cover with 40–60% alcohol.
