Cajueiro (Cashew Tree) (Anacardium occidentale) is a herb used in the Brazilian Phytotherapy tradition to help with Diabetes, Digestive Issues, UTI, and Wound Healing. The aerial parts and leaves are the parts traditionally used, used both internally and topically.

Botanical background

The cashew tree (Anacardium occidentale) is a tropical evergreen tree that produces the cashew seed and the cashew apple. It can grow as high as 14 m (46 ft), but the dwarf cashew, growing up to 6 m (20 ft), has proved more profitable, with earlier maturity and higher yields.

1–3 cups daily
  • Steep 1–2 tsp of dried Cajueiro (Cashew Tree) in freshly boiled water for 5–10 minutes.
  • Cover while steeping.
  • Strain and drink.

  • Pack dried Cajueiro (Cashew Tree) into a jar and cover with 40–60% alcohol.
