Neem (Nim Pa) (Azadirachta indica) is a herb used in the Tibetan Medicine tradition to help with Skin Health, Fever, Parasites, and Diabetes. The leaves, bark and seeds are the parts traditionally used, used both internally and topically.

Botanical background

Azadirachta indica, commonly known as neem, nimtree or Indian lilac, is a tree in the mahogany family Meliaceae. It is one of two species in the genus Azadirachta, and is native to the Indian subcontinent, i.e. India, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Maldives. It typically is grown in tropical and semi-tropical regions. Neem trees also grow in islands located in the southern part of Iran. Its fruits and seeds are the source of neem oil.

  • Steep 1–2 tsp of dried Neem (Nim Pa) in freshly boiled water for 5–10 minutes.
  • Cover while steeping.
  • Strain and drink.

  • Pack dried Neem (Nim Pa) into a jar and cover with 40–60% alcohol.
  • Seal and steep for 4–6 weeks, shaking daily.
