Frankincense (Kondor) (Boswellia sacra) is a herb used in the Persian Medicine tradition to help with Arthritis, Inflammation, Asthma, and Anxiety. The resin is the part traditionally used, used both internally and topically.

Botanical background

Boswellia sacra (commonly known as frankincense or olibanum-tree) is a tree in the Burseraceae family. It is the primary tree in the genus Boswellia from which frankincense, a resinous dried sap, is harvested. It is native to the Arabian Peninsula (Oman, Yemen), and northeastern Africa (Somalia).

Tea / Infusion

1–3 cups daily
  • Steep 1–2 tsp of dried Frankincense (Kondor) in freshly boiled water for 5–10 minutes.
  • Cover while steeping.
  • Strain and drink.

20–40 drops in water, 2–3× daily
  • Pack dried Frankincense (Kondor) into a jar and cover with 40–60% alcohol.
  • Seal and steep for 4–6 weeks, shaking daily.
  • Strain and store in a dark dropper bottle.
