Forsythia suspensa (Chinese: 连翘; pinyin: liánqiào, weeping forsythia or golden-bell) is a species of flowering plant in the family native to Asia. It is one of the 50 fundamental herbs used in traditional Chinese medicine. It contains the lignans Pinoresinol and phillyrin.
