Botanical background

Arctostaphylos uva-ursi is a plant species of the genus Arctostaphylos (manzanita). Its common names include kinnikinnick and pinemat manzanita, and it is one of several related species referred to as bearberry.

1–3 cups daily
  • Steep 1–2 tsp of dried Bearberry in freshly boiled water for 5–10 minutes.
  • Cover while steeping.
  • Strain and drink.

  • Pack dried Bearberry into a jar and cover with 40–60% alcohol.
  • Seal and steep for 4–6 weeks, shaking daily.
